Ashley Tisdale To Release New Album, GUILTY PLEASURE, In July

Singer and actress Ashley Tisdale will release a new album, entitled Guilty Pleasure, on Warner Bros. Records on July 28th, 2009.

The album’s first single, “It’s Alright, It’s OK”, has been put into rotation on MTV and has been featured on such hit shows as So You Think You Can Dance and The Hills. Tisdale will perform on Walmart’s Soundcheck and AOL Sessions this summer.

Tisdale recently won the 2009 MTV Movie Award in the “Breakthrough Performance, Female” category for her role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Tisdale will perform her new single on Good Morning America on June 16th, on The Today Show on July 28th, The View on July 29th, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on July 30th.

KANYE WEST TO PERFORM AT BENEFIT FOR KWF

The Kanye West Foundation (KWF), through the collaboration of community and corporate partnerships, presents the second “Stay in School” benefit concert, at the historic Chicago Theatre on Thurs., June 11th. Founded in 2007 by the late Dr. Donda West, KWF was established to help combat America’s severe dropout problem. This is the first major event for KWF since the 2007 passing of its founder and Kanye’s mother. The concert will be taped by Fuse to air later this summer. Benefit concert tickets are on sale now. Carnival Of Darkness Short Film Festival August 6th

The 1st Annual Carnival of Darkness short film festival will be held August 6th at The Majestic Crest Theater in Westwood, Ca.

Carnival of Darkness showcases the very best new work from independent horror filmmakers. This celebration of ‘creepy’ and original film shorts and music videos will culminate in a one hour panel discussion featuring top names in the horror world.

Co-producers Alex Bram and Leah Cevoli have selected the historic landmark Crest Theater not only because of its state-of-the-art sound and projection equipment and large seating capacity (465 seats), but also because it exemplifies the indie spirit of the festival. The Crest is one of the last remaining independently owned and operated theaters in Los Angeles.

Catherine Hickland returns to One Life To Live in the popular role of Lindsay Rappaport later this summer. Lindsay was last seen heading off to Statesville Prison for the murder of Spenser Truman.

Forbes March (ex-Scott, All My Children; ex-Nash, One Life To Live)willing be joining As The World Turns as Mason, Noah’s faculty advisor. Forbes will first air on July 14th.

Michael Muhney (ex-Sheriff Lamb, Veronica Mars) has joined the cast of Young and The Restless in the recast role of Adam Wilson. Muhney immediately replaces Chris Egan, who left the role unexpectedly fueling rumors of creative differences with the show’s producers about the direction of the character.

KYRA SEDGWICK TO RECEIVE STAR ON HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME.

Kyra Sedgwick, star of the TNT series The Closer, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The fourth season of the Closer begins Monday, June 8th. Kyra’s star will be right next to her husband’s, actor Kevin Bacon.

The ceremony begins at 11:30am on Monday, June 8th at 6356 Hollywood Boulevard at Ivar.
