Young & The Restless Actress Engaged


Young and the Restless Star Eva Marcille Has announced her engagement to to her beau since 2007, actor Lance Gross of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. The couple were engaged at Big Bear Lake, CA over the Christmas.

Eva was also the inagural a winner of America’s Next Top Model. America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille (formerly Eva Pigford) said yes when Tyler Perry’s House of Payne star Lance Gross popped the question Christmas Eve.

The couple, who met at an audition two years ago, were surrounded by family and friends when Gross went down on his knee, they told Essence.

“I cried,” the bride-to-be said. “It was totally unexpected. I’m still in shock. I could not even sleep because I was afraid that I might wake up from the most beautiful dream ever.”

The handsome pair are considering a summer 2010 wedding.

Will Smith Named 2008’s Top Money Making Movie Star

International superstar Will Smith, star of “Hancock” and “Seven Pounds,” was voted the star who generated the most box office revenue for theaters in an annual survey by Quigley Publishing Co.

Smith’s superhero summer blockbuster, “Hancock,” grossed $228 million. “Seven Pounds,” currently in theaters, has grossed $39 million in its first two weeks of release.

Greatful Dead Plan 19-City Tour

The remaining members of the legendary rock band Greatful Dead are planning a 19 city tour this year beginning in April in Greensboro, N.C.

The group, which now just calls itself The Dead, announced its plans Thursday.

Original band members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann have toured sporadically since the 1995 death of guitarist Jerry Garcia, but struggled to get along personally and artistically. They told Rolling Stone in November that they’ve worked out their differences, aided by a successful October benefit concert in Pennsylvania for then-presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Rose Parade Names Top Float

Rain Bird was awarded the Tournament of Roses Sweepstakes Trophy today in recognition of its 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade entry, Entertaining Expedition. Awarded to the float entry deemed the most beautiful by a panel of expert judges, the 2009 Sweepstakes Trophy win marks the 12th time in 13 years that Rain Bird has been awarded for its Rose Parade float entry, and the second consecutive year (eighth overall) in which the company has won the parade’s top honor. PEARL JAM ANNOUNCES THE REISSUE OF BAND’S DEBUT ALBUM, TEN
Ten, the debut album that sold 12 million copies and introduced the world to Pearl Jam in 1991, will be reissued in four (4) new and expanded editions. Pre-orders of the Super Deluxe Edition are available, through the Ten Club at PearlJam.com. All four editions will be available for purchase on March 24, 2009. The reissue of Ten serves as the launch of a planned two-year catalogue re-release campaign leading up to the band’s 20th anniversary in 2011.
